Connecting you to therapy

1

What are you looking for?

During a 15-minute consultation, we will discuss what you hope to get out of therapy, what to expect, and determine whether we are a good fit.

2

Post-Consult

Following the consultation, we will discuss scheduling your first appointment and the frequency of sessions. Alternatively, Resources will be provided to best support your healing journey

3

First Appointment.

Therapy can be overwhelming to start, and sometimes progress takes time. To best prepare for your journey, the first appointment will focus on an in-depth discussion of what brought you to therapy and collaboratively create goals you would like to accomplish.

FAQs

Do you take insurance?

I accept some insurances, including: Aetna, Anthem, BlueCross BlueShield, Independence BlueCross, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna, Evernorth, and Quest Behavioral Health. I recommend confirming with your insurance provider to ensure I am in network.

What is your approach to therapy?

I incorporate elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing into sessions. What that means is I encourage the development of coping skills to help with emotion regulation, allow room for solution-talk to add what I call a breath of fresh air to our usual discussion of triggers, and provide an affirming and therapeutic environment for change.

What is your availability?

My availability may vary. I hold many roles within the mental health field, but have dedicated Thursday afternoons and evenings, and on Friday afternoons. Feel free to ask if there are other availabilities, just in case!

How do you know if therapy is working?

That can be a very subjective answer! It is hard to measure progress in something intangible. However, through check-ins, reviewing treatment plans, and the occasional scaling questions (ex, from 1 - 10, how do you feel?), We will be able to compare where you are in treatment versus where you started.

Who are you?

For many people, it is important to know more about the therapist they will be working with. Check my “About Me” page to learn more about me!
